What We Collect

When you use HMNTY, we collect:

• Account info — name, email address (from email signup or Apple Sign-In)
• Profile info — photos, bio, hobbies you select
• Location data — your approximate location to show nearby activities (only when you grant permission)
• Activity data — events you create, join, or interact with
• Messages — chat messages within activities and direct messages
• Photos & media — photos you upload to your profile, activities, or live moments
• Device info — push notification tokens to send you alerts

How We Use It

• Show you activities and people near you
• Enable social features (friends, chat, live moments)
• Send push notifications about events and friend activity
• Improve the app experience

What We Don't Do

• We don't sell your personal data to third parties
• We don't use your data for targeted advertising
• We don't share your precise location with other users (only approximate distance is shown)

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Third-Party Services

• Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, file storage
• Apple — Apple Sign-In authentication
• Expo — push notification delivery

Your Rights

You can:

• Delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings
• Revoke location permissions in your device settings
• Request a copy of your data by contacting us

Children

HMNTY is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated through the app.
