Is HMNTY free?
Yes, completely free for personal use. No subscriptions, no hidden fees. Businesses can list events for free during our launch period too.
Is it available on Android?
Not yet — we're launching on iOS first. Android is coming soon. Drop your email and we'll notify you when it's ready.
Is this just for Omaha?
We're launching in Omaha first because it's home. But HMNTY works anywhere — when you sign up, we scan for events in your area automatically. We're expanding city by city.
How is this different from Meetup?
Meetup is for recurring groups and clubs. HMNTY is for spontaneous, everyday hangouts. "Coffee in 30 min?" not "Monthly book club meeting #47." It's faster, more casual, and built for your phone.
Is it safe?
Safety is a priority. Hosts can earn verified status through ratings and activity history. You can see who's attending before you join, block users, and all activities are in public places. We also support phone and ID verification.
What's the Ambassador badge?
The first 500 people who post a hangout or attend an event on HMNTY earn a permanent Ambassador badge on their profile. It's visible to everyone and can never be earned again once the spots fill. It's our way of thanking the people who showed up early.
Can businesses sell tickets?
Yes! Business and influencer accounts can create paid events with Stripe-powered ticketing built right in. Set your price, sell tickets, and we handle the rest.
